Privacy Policy

Piny collects nothing and keeps every bookmark on your own device.

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Piny is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our browser extension operates and handles your information.

01Zero Data Collection

Piny is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, analytics, or user identifiers.

02Local Data Storage

All your bookmarks, tags, shortcuts, and extension preferences are stored locally within your browser using standard browser storage APIs (chrome.storage.local / browser.storage.local).

  • Your data stays on your device.
  • We do not operate any external cloud servers, databases, or tracking mechanisms.
  • Uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data will remove your saved local settings.

03Permissions Used

Piny requests minimal browser permissions strictly necessary for core functionality:

  • Storage: to save your bookmarks and configurations locally in your browser.
  • Active Tab / Bookmarks: to allow you to bookmark the active website via extension icon, context menu, or keyboard shortcut Alt + P.

None of these permissions are used to monitor or harvest your online activities.

04Donations & External Links

Piny is 100% free to use.

  • We do not charge fees or process payments directly within the extension.
  • Optional support/donation links (such as "Buy Me a Coffee", bKash, or Nagad) direct you to external third-party platforms.
  • We do not collect or handle any financial information, account details, or payment transactions.

05Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
